This Past April marked our third year as being an A+ accredited business with the Better Business Bureau or BBB, an honor we proudly wear. It is the standard that we hold ourselves to in all our business practices. We value our customers and do our best to give them the best customer service we can. I believe all businesses should be doing the same to maintain customer satisfaction and providing quality products and services with pride they can be fully satisfied with. It amazes me when I hear otherwise.
I would like to share a story with you about a client I had last month. We will keep her anonymity and call her "Discouraged Debby". Debby contacted me a couple of days before her event and explained to me that she had hired another caricature artist from one of those websites where clients can bid on the performer. She explained further that the artist she had originally hired cancelled with no explanation to her. Sadly, this has not been the first time I have heard about an artist from the same site cancelling an event. Fortunately, I did have that time slot available for her and I was very happy that I could help her. Very understandably, she needed further reassurance that I would be there. Aside from sending her a signed contract that states I will be there, part of our typical booking procedure, the fact that Adam Belmares Caricatures is a BBB accredited business, means that we are a business that can be trusted. The Better Business Bureau holds their members accountable for implementing trustworthy and ethical business practices. One does not become a BBB member without being reviewed and meeting a list of their criteria. Some of which includes: Honesty, Transparency, Honor Promises, Respect Privacy , Embody Integrity and most of all, the first one on their list, Trustworthiness. We have been in business since 2010 and I have been drawing caricatures since 2001. We decided a few years ago to join the BBB with the hope that we met their standards. We were very pleased when we received approval for accreditation, graded A+. Review our BBB member business page.. It was easier than we thought. The very same standards that we were already practicing throughout, were aligned with The Better Business Bureau's standards. We are very proud to be part of a wonderful organization that helps businesses and consumers alike in creating a community embodied through trust in a world where trust is not always demonstrated to be a priority.
